Design An Experience – Rangoli

Rangoli is one of the most popular art forms in India. It is a form of sand and floral decoration that uses finely ground coloured powders, and is commonly done outside homes in India.
The term rangoli is derived from the words rang (colour) and aavalli (‘coloured creepers’ or ‘row of colours’).

Below is an example of a modern take on Rangoli we used during my sister’s wedding. My Aunt and Mom are shown above laying down a variety of petals, leaves and lentils to decorate the entrance to the wedding house. In the evening the design was lit with tea lights and created a festive, auspicious entrance for pre-wedding events.

Blues, Saffrons and Oranges make the modern floral pattern pop.

View from the guests point of entry.

Indian inspired tea lights flickerd in the moonlight.

Festive, colorful and exquisite in every way.

A perfect personal touch for a special occasion.
